This service can help you to make your home more sustainable by offering individual home assessments as well as assist you with your refurbishment project.

At Ecos Renew, we believe you can find a more sustainable home on your own doorstep - evaluate - design - implement - heating - insulation - lighting - ecology - water - waste.

Ecos has a growing reputation as a successful, groundbreaking and independent organisation, dedicated to sustainable living, including building new sustainable homes. However:

  • Over a quarter of all the UK’s CO2 emissions come from domestic housing.
  • New sustainable homes will set the standard but 99% of housing is already built.

So how can you as an interested householder make your home more sustainable whilst doing it in a way that also makes sense financially?

Ecos has set up Ecos Renew with a team of assessors to tackle the issues of the environmental performance in existing homes.

Nowadays there is a confusing array of assessments and standards when considering how to ‘green’ your home. Ecos Renew has reviewed these and produced a practical, ‘user friendly’ system that includes an important guide to priorities for action.

Ecos Renew is about much more than ‘reducing energy use’ and ‘carbon emissions’. We believe that a more comprehensive approach is needed to allow you, the householder, to achieve a greener, better balanced, quality of life.

Ecos Renew works with you through a two-stage programme, with each stage being a separate, self-contained stage for which relevant costs are applicable. After you contact us, an assessor will meet you in your home for a prearranged assessment visit. The visit will last about two hours. The assessor will survey key elements of your home and discuss your aims for improving your property. Using this information, a detailed report will be produced setting out findings and recommendations.

If you wish to move forward with the recommendations and begin the actual programme of works then Ecos Renew can provide a flexible service of advice and co-ordination tailored to the degree of assistance that you require.
