The Devon Sustainable Building Initiative (DSBI) is an independent not-for-profit organisation which promotes and enables sustainable building in Devon and beyond.

The DSBI provides advice and support on sustainable building projects and policies and offers training and consultancy services. We work with a wide range of different stakeholders, including local authorities, the construction industry and related professions and clients.

Great Bow Wharf - seminar/training/meeting venue in Somerset

Great Bow Wharf is a beautiful "Award Winning" listed building, on the banks of the River Parrett in Langport. Centrally located in the county of Somerset, just nine miles from junction 25 of the M5 to the west and nine miles from the A303 to the east. The original warehouse was built in the 18th Century to serve the Parrett Navigation Company for trading salt and corn. Steeped in history, it now serves as a thriving centre for social enterprise, café, exhibition space and well equipped conference facilities. The building has been restored using sustainable building techniques and local materials. A comfortable, contemporary space has been created, with many original features. Great Bow Wharf is managed by a newly created social enterprise which is committed to returning profits to the local community. Great Bow Wharf: business meetings or leisurely lunches - we have everything you need, in a beautiful location next to the river.
