Energy Saving Trust
“The South West Energy Saving Trust advice centre is delighted to be a partner and sponsor of the 2009 Homes for Good exhibition. Reducing carbon emissions from peoples’ homes is critical in the fight against climate change, and our work with householders, local government and communities is part of this effort. Our team of over 25 trained energy advisors help thousands of people a month take action to cut energy use, save water, reduce waste and travel with lower carbon emissions. We look forward to seeing you in Exeter.”
Devon County Council’s Executive Member for Economy, Councillor Humphrey Temperley says:
“Sustainable development is about developing an integrated approach to economic, social and environmental issues to improve the quality of life for everyone, now and in the future. Devon County Council is fully committed to sustainable development and continues to work with a wide range of Devon’s organisations, communities and individuals.”
The Forestry Commission’s regional director south west office says:
“The Forestry Commission is sponsoring the Homes for Good exhibition to encourage architects, builders and the public to consider the benefits of using wood as a carbon lean building material as well as fuel. Also to consider the use of trees to enhance the landscape around new and existing developments. We all have the opportunity to make much better use of our existing woodland resource.”
